One of Rolla’s biggest and most anticipated summer traditions is back! The Lions Club Carnival returns July 1–4, bringing four days of classic carnival fun the whole family can enjoy. From thrilling rides and wristband nights to can’t-miss nighttime shows, there’s something happening every day.

St. James Fireworks Show

The St. James fireworks show will be held on July 4 @ 9:30 P.M. Fireworks will be shot from the St. James Middle School grounds. There will be no parking or viewing space at this location due to the safety fall-out zone. The display can be viewed from the Tourist Information Center, Hutcheson Ford, First Assembly of God or First Church of God parking lots. On Tuesday, July 7th, 2026, there will be an informational Town Hall meeting at the Centre at 6:00 pm in front of the fireplace in the atrium. The Mayor will be presenting information on Proposition S and staff will be present to answer questions about the options for the re-imagined natatorium as well as answer questions about the ballot measure. Reading of the Declaration of Independence

As part of the celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, the Ozark Patriots Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution will host a public reading of the Declaration of Independence on the steps of the Phelps County Courthouse. The event will take place on July 8 at 5:00 p.m. and offers the community an opportunity to reflect on the founding principles of the nation and commemorate this historic milestone.
