Join the Phelps County Historical Society for their annual meeting to hear from member Dr. Larry Roberts as he shares the history of the Dillon Log House and the Historical Society’s efforts to restore and preserve it for future generations.

Following the talk will be an art fundraiser at the Old Courthouse (305 W 3rd St.) from 3pm to 6pm. The art was donated by the Robertson estate and all proceeds will go towards the campaign to save the Dillon Log House.

This event is FREE and open to the public.

Team Anita Golf Tournament

The 13th annual Team Anita golf tournament will take place on Monday, October 12 at Oak Meadow Country Club. Shot gun start at 12 pm. There will also be a silent auction, gun raffle and a bouncy house for the kids!

MODOT Open House Forum

MoDOT will host two public open houses to provide project updates and share the alternatives produced, including updates based on stakeholder and community feedback received during those April meetings and an associated comment period.

All are open-house style meetings with no formal presentation. Attendees may come and go as they please.

Dracula

Ozark Actors Theater proudly presents Dracula October 8-11 & October 15-18 & October 22-25!

DRACULA is an original adaptation of the classic 1897 novel written by Rolla’s own Lesley Pitts. This gothic horror story is sure to be perfect for spooky season! Jonathan Harker, a young English solicitor, traveling to Castle Dracula in Transylvania to assist the Count with a real estate transaction quickly realizes he is a prisoner in the castle, where he encounters Dracula’s supernatural powers. Harker returns to England, where his fiancée, Mina Murray, and her friend Lucy Westenra become targets of Dracula. As Lucy falls ill, her friends work to uncover the truth behind her condition. They soon realize that Lucy has fallen victim to Dracula and Mina is not far from his grasp. Come see this original piece of theatre written by one of Rolla’s own. You are sure to be ready for Halloween after seeing DRACULA at OAT!
