Spooky Science

Spooky Science at Kaleidoscope Discovery Center

Get ready for a spooktacular afternoon of science! Kaleidoscope Discovery Center is teaming up with the Missouri S&T Physics Department (and a few more!) for the return of Spooky Science, Saturday, October 24, from 4:00–6:00 p.m.

Families are invited to explore the fun — and sometimes eerie — side of physics, biology, chemistry and more through hands-on experiments, demonstrations and activities led by Missouri S&T physicists and students. Expect plenty of surprises as science comes to life with experiments that may bubble, glow, spark, freeze and amaze!

Visitors can also step inside a larger-than-life inflatable planetarium for an out-of-this-world experience.

Costumes are encouraged (costume contest!!!), curiosity is essential, and everyone is welcome! Spooky Science is designed for families and children of all ages, whether you have a budding scientist at home or simply want a fun and unusual way to kick off the Halloween season.

Best of all, Spooky Science is FREE!

Join us in Curiosity Hall at Kaleidoscope Discovery Center, 609 N. Rolla Street (across from the Public House Brewing Company) in downtown Rolla.

Saturday, October 24, 2026 | 4:00–6:00 p.m. | FREE
